The two gift ideas that caught my eye going into this holiday season were the Ōura Ring and the Skylight wall calendar. Why? Wellness is something we can all be better at. The Ōura ring is a way to have an “always on” option for measuring your body’s data and help you make good health decisions. Lots of good color options for everyone at OuraRing.com. My next Oooh tech moment came when I walked into a client’s home and found this amazing calendar in the kitchen called the Skylight Calendar Max. For families looking for a digital way to keep track of their kids and themselves, this is a terrific option. Sync your actual calendars to this large, 27” display and see how your family can stay organized. As an addition, the Skylight also helps you with Lists - Tasks, To do’s and Groceries. The calendars come in two different frame finishes to choose from at MySkylight.com.

If you know me, there will always be a Mac line-up for clients to choose from. Apple did not disappoint this year with new MacBooks, iPads, iPhones, AirPods and the AppleWatch. What I find important is that Apple gives consumers a range to choose from. You don’t have to break the bank to get an excellent device. The MacBook Air, starting at $999, is a rockstar for regular web surfers, email and document processing. Unless you’re editing the next Steven Spielberg movie, take a look at the MacBook Air. I have been a fan of the iPad Mini from the first time it launched back in 2012. It’s light, portable and fast enough to let me watch my favorite movies on a plane. Big isn’t always better. Before the end of the year I will be upgrading my iPhone to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. And, yes, I will get the orange one. My biggest reason for upgrading (I was using an iPhone 14) is the advances in the camera. I probably use that more than the phone features. Apple gave us the new AirPods 4 for only $179 with active noise cancelling. If you want to drown out the craziness in the world, get these noise canceling headphones and let your cares drift away while you listen to your favorite music, podcast or book. And, if you’re ready to upgrade your Apple Watch, now is a good time. The Apple Watch SE 3 starts at a low $249. If you’ve been waiting to get your first Apple Watch, this is a great price.

Choosing the right gift can be a daunting tasks. Here are a few items that would make any family or friend very happy. Dell makes a powerful 13” laptop that’s only $849, a great idea for someone headed to high school or college. Anker Nano Power Bank is a lightweight, magnetic extra bit of power when you need it for your iPhone. I carry one with me everywhere. Sleep health is a big deal theses day and the Ozlo Sleep Buds can help keep the noise at bay, letting everyone get that well deserved sleep. I purchased the Ninja Flip air fry, roast, broil, bake, pizza, toast, bagel, dehydrate all in one toaster oven ahead of the holidays. Having this second “do everything” oven will help keep the family full with lots of stuffing and pies. Do you have a friend who likes attending outdoor games in the cold? Get them this toasty warm, heated vest from Amazon. And, lastly, for unforgettable family nights together, a portable smart projector is just the ticket. This go anywhere projector lets you stream your favorite movies or TV series under the stars.

And, for the person that has everything, consider going retro with the Kettle Phone from Ooma. This classic style phone is upgraded, using the Internet for calls. Everyone knows that home cooks love gadgets. The Ultrasonic Knife is the world’s first ultrasonic chef’s knife. This knife uses vibration to make cutting vegetables a breeze. Pre-order now for March 2026 delivery. And, Meta introduced the Ray-Ban Display Glasses using AI. Walking around talking to yourself never looked so stylish!
