How to prepare your iPhone or iPad for remote assistance
Find the App Store app and tap on it
Tap Search located on the bottom right
At the top where it says Search, tap in the field below it that says App Store.
In the list you should see Rescue + Mobile. Tap that option.
If you don’t see Rescue + Mobile, tap the Search button
The Rescue +Mobile app will appear. Tap Get.
You may be prompted to login to your Apple account or use Touch ID to Install. Type in your Apple password or use your finger authenticate.
The Rescue + Mobile app will start to download.
Once it’s downloaded, tap Open.
The Rescue + Mobile app will open. You may be prompted for Rescue to Send you Notifications. Tap Allow.
If you are prompted to Broadcast or Chat, tap Cancel.
Close the Rescue app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad.
Tap Control Center. It’s located right under General.
Tap Customized Controls.
Scroll down to the More Controls area. Tap on the green + icon to the right of Screen Recording. It will now appear under the Include area of the Control Center.
Go back to the main screen of your iPad/iPhone.
Older iPhone/iPads - Put your finger at the bottom of the screen (just off the screen in the black area) and drag your finger up on the glass. The Control Center should rise up from the bottom. Let go of your finger.
Newer iPhone/iPads - Put your finger at the top right of the device and drag your finger down the glass. The Control Center should appear from the top. Let go of your finger.
Find the Screen Recording icon. Hold your finger down on the icon. You may have to apply a little pressure. Eventually a Screen Recording pop up will appear. Tap LogMeIn Rescue to put a checkmark next to it.
Tap the top blue area of the screen. The Screen Recording pop up will go away. You should only see the Control Center now.
Tap the top of the Control Center and it will go away.
You are ready for remote assistance of your iPhone/iPad.
